• Assess third-party AI vendor agreements against Law Society model rules on confidentiality and identify contractual provisions required to protect solicitor-client privilege when data leaves firm systems.
• Apply AI-assisted document review workflows to large document sets, configuring relevance and privilege coding models consistent with Canadian e-discovery frameworks (Sedona Canada Principles).
• Apply Law Society competence and supervision obligations to AI-assisted work product, establishing sign-off procedures that satisfy professional responsibility requirements across provincial jurisdictions.
• Develop a phased AI adoption roadmap for a law firm, prioritizing use cases by ROI, risk level, and readiness, and aligning the plan with the firm's practice areas and client base.
